Weight and Blood Pressure Tracking

My Health includes tools to log your weight and blood pressure so you can keep an eye on your overall health alongside your transition. These features require a Cracking or Hatched subscription.

Tracking Your Weight

To log a weight entry:

  1. Go to My Health and select the Weight tab.
  2. Click Add Entry.
  3. Enter your weight and the date.
  4. Click Save.

If you have entered your height in your profile, Gender Journey will automatically calculate your BMI for each weight entry. You can also set an optional goal weight to track your progress towards a target.

All your weight entries are plotted on a graph so you can see trends over weeks, months, and years.

Tracking Blood Pressure

To log a blood pressure reading:

  1. Go to My Health and select the Blood Pressure tab.
  2. Click Add Reading.
  3. Enter your systolic (top number) and diastolic (bottom number) values.
  4. Optionally enter your pulse rate.
  5. Enter the date and click Save.

Your readings are categorised automatically:

  • Normal — Systolic below 120 and diastolic below 80
  • Elevated — Systolic 120–129 and diastolic below 80
  • High — Systolic 130 or above, or diastolic 80 or above

Blood pressure readings are graphed over time so you can monitor trends and share them with your healthcare provider if needed.

Why Track These Metrics?

Hormone therapy can affect weight distribution, blood pressure, and other vital signs. Regularly logging these measurements helps you and your healthcare team spot any changes early and adjust your care plan accordingly.
