GenderJourney.xyz is a safe, supportive community for individuals on their gender journey. We expect all users to:

3. Prohibited Content

You may NOT post, share, or transmit content that:

3.1 Hate Speech and Discrimination

1. ❌ Promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
2. ❌ Contains slurs, derogatory language, or offensive stereotypes
3. ❌ Denies the existence or validity of transgender, non-binary, or gender-diverse identities
4. ❌ Promotes conversion therapy or other harmful practices

3.2 Harassment and Bullying

1. ❌ Harasses, threatens, intimidates, or bullies other users
2. ❌ Engages in targeted harassment campaigns or "brigading"
3. ❌ Shares private information about others without consent ("doxxing")
4. ❌ Impersonates another person or entity
5. ❌ Stalks or repeatedly contacts someone who has asked you to stop

3.3 Sexual Content

1. ❌ Contains sexually explicit material, pornography, or nudity (except medical/educational context)
2. ❌ Solicits sexual content or services
3. ❌ Sexualizes minors in any way

Note: Progress photos showing surgical results or body changes are permitted if they are clearly medical/educational in nature and appropriately tagged with content warnings.

3.4 Violence and Harm

1. ❌ Promotes, glorifies, or incites violence or self-harm
2. ❌ Contains graphic depictions of violence, gore, or injury
3. ❌ Threatens physical harm to yourself or others
4. ❌ Provides instructions for self-harm or suicide

Mental Health Support: If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, please contact emergency services (999 in the UK, 112 in the EU) or a crisis helpline immediately. The Service is not equipped to provide crisis intervention.

3.5 Illegal Activity

1. ❌ Violates any local, national, or international law
2. ❌ Promotes or facilitates illegal activity (e.g., drug trafficking, fraud, identity theft)
3. ❌ Infringes on intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark, patents)
4. ❌ Shares pirated or stolen content

3.6 Misinformation and Fraud

1. ❌ Shares false, misleading, or fraudulent medical information
2. ❌ Impersonates healthcare providers or medical professionals
3. ❌ Promotes unproven or dangerous medical treatments

3.7 Spam and Manipulation

2. ❌ Uses automated tools (bots, scripts) to interact with the Service
3. ❌ Manipulates engagement metrics (fake likes, comments, followers)
4. ❌ Promotes commercial products or services without permission
5. ❌ Engages in "vote manipulation" or coordinated inauthentic behavior

4. Prohibited Activities

You may NOT:

4.1 Security and Access

1. ❌ Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
2. ❌ Bypass security measures, authentication, or access controls
3. ❌ Exploit vulnerabilities or bugs for malicious purposes (please report them to [email protected])
4. ❌ Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
5. ❌ Conduct denial-of-service (DoS) attacks or overload our infrastructure

4.2 Data Scraping and Extraction

1. ❌ Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service using automated tools
2. ❌ Use the Service to build competing products or services
3. ❌ Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
4. ❌ Access the Service through unofficial APIs or third-party tools

4.3 Account Abuse

1. ❌ Create multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions
2. ❌ Share your account credentials with others
3. ❌ Sell, trade, or transfer your account
4. ❌ Use the Service if you are under 16 years old

4.4 Fair Use Violations

1. ❌ Abuse the free-tier service (e.g., creating excessive accounts, uploading excessive data)
2. ❌ Use the Service for commercial purposes without a commercial license
3. ❌ Resell or redistribute Service features to third parties

5. My Connect Social Features

If you enable "My Connect," additional rules apply:

5.1 Community Guidelines

1. ✅ Be supportive: Offer encouragement, empathy, and constructive feedback
2. ✅ Respect boundaries: Do not pressure others to share personal information
3. ✅ Use content warnings: Tag sensitive content (e.g., surgery photos, mental health struggles)
4. ✅ Respect pronouns: Use the correct pronouns for other users
5. ✅ Assume good intent: Give others the benefit of the doubt in disagreements

5.2 Prohibited Behavior in My Connect

1. ❌ Posting unsolicited medical advice or diagnoses
2. ❌ Pressuring others to pursue specific medical treatments
3. ❌ Gatekeeping or invalidating others' gender identities
4. ❌ Sharing "before and after" photos without content warnings
5. ❌ Engaging in "trauma dumping" without consent

6. Content Moderation

6.1 Automated Moderation

We use AI-assisted moderation (powered by OpenAI) to automatically scan content for policy violations. AI-flagged content is:

1. Automatically suspended (hidden from public view)
2. Reviewed by a human moderator within 24-48 hours
3. Restored if the AI made an error, or permanently removed if it violates this policy

6.2 User Reports

Users can report content that violates this policy. Reported content is:

1. Immediately suspended pending review
2. Reviewed by both AI and human moderators
3. Actioned within 24-48 hours

6.3 Moderator Actions

Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, moderators may:

1. Warning: First-time minor violations receive a warning
2. Content Removal: Violating content is permanently deleted
3. Temporary Suspension: Account access is restricted for 7-30 days
4. Permanent Ban: Account is permanently terminated for severe or repeated violations

6.4 Appeals

If you believe your content was removed in error, you can appeal by contacting [email protected]. Appeals are reviewed within 7 days.

7. Consequences of Violations

7.1 First Violation (Minor)

2. Content removed
3. No account restrictions

7.2 Second Violation or Moderate Violation

1. 🚫 7-day suspension
2. Content removed
3. My Connect features disabled during suspension

7.3 Third Violation or Severe Violation

1. 🚫 30-day suspension
2. All content removed
3. My Connect permanently disabled (can be re-enabled after appeal)

7.4 Severe or Illegal Violations

1. 🔴 Permanent ban
2. Account and all data deleted
3. IP address blocked
4. Law enforcement notified (if applicable)

Examples of severe violations: Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), credible threats of violence, doxxing, illegal activity, repeated harassment after warnings.

8. Reporting Violations

If you see content or behavior that violates this policy, please report it:

1. In-App: Click the "Report" button on posts or user profiles

3. Urgent/Illegal: [email protected] (for security issues or illegal content)

What to include in your report:

1. Link to the violating content or user profile
2. Description of the violation
3. Screenshots (if applicable)

9. Law Enforcement Cooperation

We cooperate with law enforcement when required by law. We may disclose user information in response to:

1. Valid court orders or subpoenas
2. Credible threats of violence or harm
3. Child safety concerns (CSAM, grooming, exploitation)
4. National security requests (with appropriate legal process)

10. Changes to This Policy
