Privacy and Safety on My Connect
Gender Journey is committed to keeping My Connect a safe and supportive space. You have full control over your privacy and can take action if you encounter unwanted behaviour.
Privacy Controls
You can manage your My Connect visibility from your profile settings:
- Enable or disable My Connect — If you prefer not to participate in social features, you can turn off My Connect entirely. Your health data and other features will continue to work normally.
- Profile visibility — Choose who can see your profile information.
- Connection requests — Control who can send you connection requests.
- Connection-only visibility — Restrict your posts so only your connections can see them.
Blocking Users
If you want to prevent someone from interacting with you:
- Visit their profile.
- Click the Block button.
- Confirm the action.
Blocked users cannot:
- View your profile or posts.
- Send you connection requests.
- Message you.
You can unblock a user at any time from your privacy settings.
Reporting Abuse
If you see a post, comment, or message that violates community guidelines:
- Click the Report button on the content.
- Select the reason for your report.
- Add any additional details.
- Submit the report.
Reports are reviewed by our team. Content that violates our policies will be removed, and the offending account may be suspended.
Content Moderation
My Connect uses a combination of automated moderation and human review to maintain a safe environment:
- Posts and comments are automatically screened for policy violations.
- Flagged content is reviewed promptly.
- Users who repeatedly violate guidelines may have their My Connect access restricted.
If you have concerns about content or behaviour on My Connect, please do not hesitate to report it. Your reports are confidential.
