Sharing Photos Safely
Your photos on Gender Journey are private by default. Only you can see them unless you explicitly choose to share. This feature requires a Cracking or Hatched subscription.
Privacy by Default
When you upload a photo to My Photos:
- It is private — no one else can see it.
- It does not appear on My Connect or anywhere public.
- It is stored securely and only accessible from your account.
You always have full control over who sees your photos.
Sharing to My Diary
You can attach photos to your diary entries:
- When creating or editing a diary entry, click Attach Photo.
- Select a photo from My Photos or upload a new one.
- The photo will be part of your diary entry.
Diary entries are private by default, but you can optionally share them to My Connect (see below).
Sharing to My Connect
If you want to share a photo with your connections or a community:
- When creating a post on My Connect, click Attach Photo.
- Choose a photo from My Photos or upload a new one.
- The photo will be visible to everyone who can see the post (based on your privacy settings).
Important: Once a photo is shared on My Connect, it is visible to your connections or community members depending on your post's audience. Think carefully before sharing and only post photos you are comfortable with others seeing.
Tips for Safe Sharing
- Review your My Connect privacy settings before sharing for the first time.
- Consider whether you want the photo visible to all connections or just a specific community.
- You can delete a shared post at any time to remove the photo from My Connect.
- Photos in My Photos remain private even if you share them in a post — the original in your library is not affected.
