Setting Up Recurring Events
My Calendar supports recurring events so you can set up regular appointments, reminders, or activities once and have them appear automatically on your calendar. This feature is available on all subscription tiers.
Creating a Recurring Event
To set up a recurring event:
- Create a new event or edit an existing one.
- In the event form, find the Repeat setting.
- Choose a recurrence pattern:
- None — A one-time event (the default).
- Daily — Repeats every day.
- Weekly — Repeats on selected days of the week (for example, every Monday and Thursday).
- Monthly — Repeats on a specific week and day of the month (for example, "First Monday" or "Last Friday").
- Save the event.
The recurring event will appear on all applicable dates in your calendar.
Weekly Recurrence
When you choose weekly recurrence, you can select which days of the week the event should repeat. This is useful for:
- Regular therapy or counselling sessions.
- Support group meetings.
- Voice training practice days.
Monthly Recurrence
Monthly recurrence lets you specify both the week and the day:
- Week options: First, Second, Third, Fourth, or Last week of the month.
- Day options: Any day of the week (Monday through Sunday).
For example, you could set an event for the "Second Wednesday" of every month for a regular clinic appointment.
Setting Advance Reminders
Each event can include a reminder that notifies you before the event starts:
- When creating or editing an event, set the Reminder date and time.
- You will receive a notification at the specified time.
Advance reminders are particularly useful for medical appointments where you may need to prepare — such as fasting before blood tests or gathering documents for a consultation.
Managing Recurring Events
When you edit or delete a recurring event, you can choose whether the change applies to:
- Just the selected occurrence.
- All future occurrences.
This gives you flexibility to adjust your schedule without losing the entire recurring series.
