Creating and Managing Events
My Calendar helps you keep track of appointments, reminders, and important dates throughout your journey. It is available on all subscription tiers, including the free Egg plan.
Creating a New Event
To add an event to your calendar:
- Navigate to My Calendar from the sidebar.
- Click on a date or tap the Add Event button.
- Fill in the event details:
- Title — A short name for the event.
- Description — Additional details or notes (optional).
- Date and time — When the event starts.
- End date and time — When the event finishes (optional).
- Location — Where the event takes place (optional).
- Event type — Choose a category (see below).
- Reminder — Set an advance reminder to be notified before the event.
- Click Save.
Event Types
My Calendar uses colour-coded event types to help you organise your schedule at a glance:
- Appointment — Medical or healthcare appointments such as GP visits, endocrinology appointments, or therapy sessions.
- Personal — Personal events and commitments.
- Event — General events such as support group meetings or social gatherings.
- Reminder — Simple reminders for tasks or to-dos.
- Medication — Automatically populated from My Hormones if you have a Cracking or Hatched subscription (see the medication integration article for details).
Each type has its own colour, making it easy to scan your calendar and see what is coming up.
Calendar Views
My Calendar offers two views:
- Month view — Displays the full month with colour-coded dots indicating which days have events. Click on a day to see its events.
- Day view — Shows a detailed list of events for a selected day.
Editing and Deleting Events
To modify an event:
- Click on the event in your calendar.
- The event details modal will open.
- Click Edit to make changes, or Delete to remove it.
- Save your changes.
Exporting Events
You can export individual events to ICS files for use with other calendar applications:
- Open the event you want to export.
- Click Export to ICS.
- The downloaded file can be imported into Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, or any application that supports the ICS format.
