Managing Your Healthcare Providers

My Providers gives you a central place to store and manage all the healthcare professionals involved in your transition. From your GP to your endocrinologist, surgeon, and pharmacy, everything is in one secure location.

Adding a Provider

  1. Navigate to My Providers from the main menu.
  2. Tap Add Provider.
  3. Choose the provider type:
    • GP
    • Endocrinologist
    • Gender Clinic
    • Surgeon
    • Therapist
    • Pharmacy
    • Private Clinic
    • NHS Hospital
    • Lab
  4. Fill in the provider details — name, address, and any notes.
  5. Save the provider.

Provider Templates

For UK users, Gender Journey includes pre-built templates for common providers:

  • NHS Gender Identity Clinics — Tavistock, Laurels, Nottingham, Leeds, Sheffield, and others.
  • Private clinics — GenderGP, London Transgender Clinic, GenderCare, and more.
  • Pharmacies — Common pharmacy chains that dispense HRT.

Select a template and the provider details are filled in automatically. You can then edit them to match your specific contact information.

Managing Contacts

Each provider can have multiple contacts with different roles. For example, your gender clinic might have a lead clinician, a nurse, and an administrative contact.

To add a contact:

  1. Open the provider.
  2. Tap Add Contact.
  3. Enter their name, role, phone number, and email.
  4. Save the contact.

ODS Codes

For NHS providers, you can store the ODS (Organisation Data Service) code. This is the unique identifier used by the NHS and can be helpful when communicating with other healthcare services or filling in forms.

Linking Providers to Medications

You can link a provider to specific medications in My Medications. This makes it clear which doctor prescribed which medication and which pharmacy dispenses it. To link a provider, edit a medication and select the prescribing provider and dispensing pharmacy from your saved providers.

Active and Inactive Providers

If you change clinics or no longer see a particular provider, you can mark them as inactive rather than deleting them. This keeps your history intact while keeping your active provider list clean and up to date.
