Upgrading, Downgrading, or Cancelling

You can change your Gender Journey subscription at any time. This guide explains how each change works and what happens to your data.

Upgrading Your Plan

To upgrade to a higher tier:

  1. Go to My Subscription in your account settings.
  2. Select the plan you want to upgrade to.
  3. Complete the payment through Stripe Checkout.
  4. Your new features are available immediately after payment.

When you upgrade, you gain instant access to all the features included in your new plan. Any data you entered during a previous subscription or free trial will still be there.

Downgrading Your Plan

To move to a lower tier:

  1. Go to My Subscription in your account settings.
  2. Select the plan you want to downgrade to.
  3. Confirm the change.

When you downgrade:

  • You retain access to your current plan's features until the end of your current billing period.
  • After the billing period ends, features exclusive to the higher tier become inaccessible.
  • Your data is never deleted. All health records, medications, photos, voice recordings, and other data you entered are preserved. If you upgrade again later, everything will be right where you left it.

Cancelling Your Subscription

To cancel:

  1. Go to My Subscription.
  2. Click Manage Billing to open the Stripe billing portal.
  3. Select Cancel Subscription.
  4. You will need to confirm your identity with your password and two-factor authentication (if enabled).

After cancellation:

  • You keep access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.
  • When the billing period ends, your account reverts to the Egg (free) plan.
  • Your data remains intact. You can resubscribe at any time to regain access.

Reactivating a Cancelled Subscription

If you cancelled but your billing period has not yet ended:

  1. Go to My Subscription.
  2. Click Reactivate to resume your subscription.
  3. Your plan continues as normal without interruption.

If your billing period has already ended, you will need to subscribe again as a new subscription.

Important Notes

  • Billing is handled securely through Stripe. Gender Journey does not store your card details.
  • All plan changes take effect based on your billing cycle — upgrades are immediate, downgrades and cancellations apply at the end of the current period.
  • Your data is always preserved regardless of plan changes.
