Sharing Diary Entries to My Connect

While all diary entries are private by default, you can choose to share specific entries with your connections and communities on My Connect. This feature is available on all subscription tiers.

How Sharing Works

When you share a diary entry:

1. Open the diary entry you want to share.
2. Click Share to My Connect.
3. The entry will appear as a post on your My Connect feed.
4. Your connections and community members can see, like, and comment on it.

The shared entry remains linked to your diary, so any edits you make to the original entry will be reflected in the shared version.

What Gets Shared

When you share a diary entry to My Connect:

• The text content of the entry is visible to others.
• Any attached photos will be displayed with the post.
• Any attached voice recordings will be playable by viewers.
• Your mood indicator may be shown depending on your settings.
• Tags are included and function as hashtags on My Connect.

Making an Entry Private Again

If you change your mind about sharing:

1. Open the diary entry.
2. Click Make Private or Unshare.
3. The entry will be removed from My Connect and will no longer be visible to others.

The original entry remains in your diary — only the My Connect post is removed.

Viewing Shared Entries

You can quickly find all your shared entries using the diary filter:

1. Go to My Diary.
2. Select the Shared filter.
3. Only entries currently shared to My Connect will be displayed.

Tips for Sharing

• Review before sharing — Read through the entry carefully before making it public to ensure you are comfortable with others seeing it.
• Consider your audience — Remember that shared entries are visible to your connections and community members based on your My Connect privacy settings.
• Engage with comments — When people comment on your shared entries, responding helps build connections and community support.
• You are always in control — You can unshare an entry at any time, giving you full control over your visibility.
