Why Reminders Matter
It is easy to lose track of when your next blood test is due, especially once you settle into your HRT routine. Missed or delayed tests can mean:
- Your provider lacks current data to guide your treatment.
- Potential issues go undetected for longer than necessary.
- Dose adjustments are delayed.
Setting Up Reminders in My Calendar
- Go to My Calendar.
- Create a new event for your next blood test.
- Set the date based on your provider's recommendation (e.g., 3 months from your last test).
- Add a reminder — you can choose to be notified days or hours in advance.
- Optionally make it a recurring event (e.g., every 3 months or every 6 months).
Linking Blood Tests to Providers
When you log a blood test result in My Health, you can link it to the provider who ordered or performed the test. This helps you:
- Keep a record of which provider handles your blood work.
- Quickly find contact details if you need to discuss results.
- Share a complete history with new providers if you change healthcare teams.
Tips for Staying on Track
- Set recurring reminders — Once your provider confirms your testing schedule, set a recurring calendar event so you do not have to remember each time.
- Book ahead — Schedule your next blood test appointment as soon as you receive your current results.
- Track test frequency — Use the blood test log in My Health to see when you last had tests done and when the next ones are due.
- Export to your calendar — Gender Journey supports ICS export, so you can add blood test reminders to your phone's native calendar as well.
After Your Blood Test
Once you receive your results:
- Log them in My Health promptly.
- Review the graphs for any changes or trends.
- Discuss any concerns with your healthcare provider.
- Schedule your next test and update your reminder.
