AI Voice Training Assistant
My Voice includes an AI-powered voice training assistant that provides guided exercises, personalised training plans, and progress evaluation to help you develop your voice. This feature requires a Cracking or Hatched subscription.
What the AI Voice Trainer Offers
The voice training assistant is designed to support you regardless of your voice goals:
- Guided exercises — Step-by-step exercises for pitch control, resonance, and intonation.
- Personalised training plans — Plans tailored to your journey type and current pitch range.
- Progress evaluation — Feedback based on your recordings and pitch analysis data.
Training by Journey Type
Feminising Voice Training
If you are working towards a more feminine voice, exercises focus on:
- Raising pitch — Gradually shifting your comfortable speaking pitch into the feminine range (160–300 Hz).
- Brightening resonance — Moving resonance from the chest to the head for a lighter vocal quality.
- Adjusting intonation — Practising speech patterns with more melodic variation.
Masculinising Voice Training
If you are working towards a more masculine voice, exercises focus on:
- Lowering pitch — Settling into a comfortable lower pitch range (80–150 Hz), which hormone therapy often supports naturally.
- Chest resonance — Developing a deeper, fuller vocal quality by using chest resonance.
- Speech patterns — Practising more level intonation and pacing.
Non-binary / Androgynous Voice
If you are seeking an androgynous voice, exercises help you:
- Find a comfortable middle ground — Working in the 120–180 Hz range with flexible resonance.
- Develop versatility — Building control so you can adjust your voice to suit different contexts.
Using the Training Assistant
- Navigate to My Voice and open the Voice Training section.
- The assistant will suggest exercises based on your journey type and recent recordings.
- Follow the guided exercises — each includes clear instructions and audio examples where applicable.
- Record yourself completing the exercise to track your progress.
- Review the assistant's feedback and adjust your practice accordingly.
Tips for Effective Voice Training
- Practice consistently — Short daily sessions (10–15 minutes) are more effective than long infrequent sessions.
- Be patient — Voice changes take time. Progress is often measured in weeks and months, not days.
- Stay hydrated — Drink plenty of water to keep your vocal cords healthy during training.
- Do not strain — If an exercise feels uncomfortable or painful, stop and rest. Voice training should never hurt.
- Record regularly — Use My Voice recordings to track how your voice changes over time. Listening back to older recordings can be very encouraging.
